Why So Silent?

As my dear cousin acknowledged....something must be wrong when the blog hasn't been updated. In fact, this is the longest we've gone in between posts, I believe, since we started The Good Life.

Mountain Man has been home all week due to a gout flare-up, and I woke up very early Wednesday morning in severe pain from what the doctor thinks is a kidney stone. I'll go for an ultrasound tomorrow, and we'll know more then about what happens next. Mountain Man is slowly recovering, but he's still in quite a bit of pain. So, that's why things have been so quiet around here. :)

God's goodness and mercy shine through it all, though, and we can truly count the blessings! We'll post more about those later.

Meanwhile, we covet your prayers for healing.

Love,
Queen Mom

  1. Queen Mom, as sick as you've been, you can get a cake in the oven - and update the blog. I thank God for you and I'm praying for Ben, you and my beautiful grandchildren.

Sending many prayers and much love for all the Poffs.

  3. Wow! This is awesome. Reality TV doesn't stand a chance against the Poff Clan!! Sorry it has taken me so long to log on and view.
    Love you all!

  4. I also noticed you had not updated your blog in a few days. I had mentioned it to your mom. Trish, I hope you and Ben are starting to feel much better by now. One thing for sure, sickness makes us appreciate it when we are in good health. Being blessed with good health is nothing we can take for granted.

  5. Dearest Trish, I can relate to exactly how you feel. Mike suffers from gout(although avoiding certain foods and daily meds help)and I have had my share of kidney stones, thankfully no more have formed for the last year!
I hope it disolves instead of having to pass it. I would rather deliver children!
    Thinking of you, Mel

  6. Hi Mel,
Oh, I'm so sorry you've had to go through kidney stones several times! The pain is horrible, isn't it? And to think that Mike has gout, too.
    Thankfully, we're both feeling better!
    Love you!
