Baby Name Clues

We've chosen a name for Sweet Baby Boy. It seems a bit boring to just put it out there, so I'll give you some clues instead. C'mon. Don't be a party pooper. Play along.

1) One of the names is in the Bible and means "The LORD is my God".

2) We have children whose names start with the same letter as one of the names of Sweet Baby Boy. (Those letters include C, J, E, and L)

3) One of the names is in honor of one of my favorite preachers, a man whose biography was published just last month and is on the way to my house. :)

4) My Dad spent time with this preacher/writer almost every day, even though they lived centuries apart.

5) This preacher shepherded the same church body for 25 years. When he left them to go to another church, he journaled regret and sadness over that decision.

6) Think outside the order of things. :)

The Herd Wins It

Boo just picked the Heckendorn Herd as the winner of our "What's Wrong with This Picture" contest. The right answer was that it appears that Scribe is only wearing one shoe.....(technically, he was wearing a flip flop and a sandal, but you could only assume he was just wearing one shoe from the picture we posted. :)

BIG numbers,Christmas Traditions, and a FUN giveaway (sounds great, doesn't it?)

In celebration of our reaching 1000 "hits" on our blog (that's the BIG numbers part of it), we have decided to have a contest (that's the giveaway part of it). Yeees, folks, step right up and here what I've got to say! You won't want to miss it! Nooo, sirreee!

What's the contest? you ask. Well, ladies and gents, the contest is this: write a comment on this post, listing your favorite Christmas tradition (that's the Christmas traditions part of it, don't you know). For example, one of my family's favorite traditions is driving around with hot cocoa to see the lights in town or going to the Botanical Gardens to see the River of Lights. Anyhow, just leave a little comment about what you and yours enjoy doing around the Christmas holidays. You'll have until 11:00 PM, Sunday, December 7th, 2008 to leave your comment.
