Sweet Seven

Seven Things We LOVE About Ella...

1) Her love of reading and delight in sharing passages from her reading.

2) Her faithfulness in reading from her Bible or Bible Storybook each morning.

3) Her eagerness to chime in the reasons we have to thank the LORD.

4) Her helpful spirit and consistent, "I'd be happy to" and "Thank you for this wonderful dinner, Mommy."

5) Her love of babies and younger siblings.

6) Her creative mind and creative play.

7) Her big, big, happy, happy smile.

She requested our yummy homemade sausage pizzas for her birthday dinner, and for the birthday breakfast, we tried sour cream pancakes. These cooked up beautifully, and if you like tang in your pancake, you'd love these.

Ella's birthday wish list was simple. Paper dolls. Packs of gum. A stroller. Oh, books, of course, too. :)

Ella requested a puppy dog cake from our baker friend, and it was perfectly lovely when we brought it home.

Then, a cute little man in the house climbed up on large bucket of flour and decided to experiment with cause and effect. Just what would happen if he pushed down really hard on the plastic cover. Oh, yes! Some of the icing would come off of the cake. Ella was a super-great sport, though. It's hard to get too mad at Cap'n.

 Well, it's hard to get mad at Cap'n, but it isn't hard to get annoyed when he blows out some of your candles. :)

We love you, Ella, and praise God for choosing us to be your family! What joy you have brought us these past seven years! May the love you have for His people and His Word grow stronger each year. May you walk faithfully in His ways all the days of your life, and may your life reflect the love of Christ in all you do and think and say.
