"It is a wise father that knows his own child."
~Shakespeare
The Littles had the pleasure this weekend of having their date with Daddy. The day started with Reaches Up and Mountain Man heading to Home Depot for a woodworking event. The project was this nifty car track, and Reaches Up did a terrific job making his own.
Reaches Up was so excited about going on his date with Daddy that he tiptoed into our room at 6:30 in the morning, worried that it was getting late and someone had forgotten to wake him up. :) He read his Bible, did his morning chores, and even left his siblings this sweet note before leaving for Home Depot, telling them he loved them and reminding them to give glory to God in all that they did.
Later in the afternoon, Whistler and Boo (this was her first date with Daddy!), joined Reaches Up and Mountain Man and left for the zoo. They took a picnic lunch with them, planning to eat while sitting on the nice green grass.

However, none of us realized that the zoo closed at 5:00, and since they arrived just an hour earlier, there wasn't much time to see everything. Daddy came to the rescue, though. He took the Littles to the park that was across from the zoo, and they had a delightful time playing on all of the equipment.

A lovely day of simple joys....building something with Daddy, enjoying God's creation, making lasting memories.
jiWhat treasured times. You all are doing such a great job of living life intentionally and taking the time to make note of it. I love it! Thanks for sharing your treasures and treasured times with the rest of us. Hugs to all.

ReplyDeleteWhat great pics-it's too cold to go to the zoo here-Whistler is the spitting image of you, Trish, at that age. I'm glad to hear you're doing well, and I hope Claire is doing well.
