Scribe's birthday celebration happened in two parts. Saturday night we enjoyed a special dinner of steak fingers, mashed potatoes, and cornbread, at his request. Of course, don't forget the real sweet tea!
Mountain Man asked me if I wanted some mashed potatoes with my butter. However, I won't tell you how many helpings he had. :)
Mountain Man cooked these up for us and enjoyed some white gravy with them this time.
Little Bit wasn't happy to have been found out. We caught her in the pantry enjoying the barbeque chips while we were cooking dinner.
Scribe's birthday "cake" was actually a fruit and cream pie. And, no, this Mama didn't make it.
This morning we celebrated with one of Scribe's favorite breakfasts...cream cheese scrambled eggs and cinnamon rolls.
Happy Birthday, Scribe! We love you!
Happy Birthday, Scribe. It's hard
ReplyDeleteto believe you are 14.The years have gone by so fast. I LOVE the
pictures. Little Bit looks so sad, but I bet she enjoyed the potato chips!!!! So glad Scribe allowed you to take his picture.!!! I especially like the picture of all the Poff Children. Thanks, Queen Mom, for taking the time to post so that we can enjoy Scribe's 14th birthday. Love to each of you.

The very first time I met your children was at Mountain Man's parents' 50th Anniversary celebration. I was so impressed at how Scribe looked out for his younger siblings at the reception. It was obvious that it was just part of his nature. How wonderful for them to have such a caring, older brother!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Patty
I'm so sorry this is, what, four days late? I wanted to wish Corey a happy birthday again. Every year just gets better. May this one be terrific. Keep up all that good work.
