When Caity and Marissa were helping me last Friday, Caity made up several batches of my favorite pizza sauce. So, I froze several of them and saved a batch for us to make pizzas on Saturday. I'm so happy with this sauce, which actually contains lavender tea. I'm not sure that it makes much difference to the taste, but it sounds elegant, doesn't it? :)
I'm still in search of that "perfect" pizza crust, though.
The best part of our pizza making this past weekend, however, was these wonderful personal-sized pizza pans that I ordered from http://www.forsmallhands.com/. These were supposed to be a "Twelve Days of Christmas" surprise, but I only received half of the order at that time because the pans were backordered.
We had such a great time making these personal pan pizzas that the children concluded this is definitely the way to do our homemade pizza nights. Each person can customize his/her pizza, and I can easily bake six of these at at time in our oven.
One personal-sized pizza was the perfect serving for each child, even our growing young man, Scribe. Little Bit, who wasn't feeling well at the time, still ate half of a pizza. :)

The pizza looks good and something neat for the children to do. In all my years I cannot ever remember making a pizza from scratch. It just always seemed easier to buy the already made
ReplyDeletepizza...I guess it's now time to
try my hand at making the perfect
pizza.
Hugs, Marian
