"At The Sea-Side"
Robert Louis Stevenson
When I was down beside the sea
A wooden spade they gave to me
To dig the sandy shore.
My holes were empty like a cup.
In every hole the sea came up,
Till it could come no more.

God graciously blessed us with beautiful weather while in Norfolk, so the children eagerly enjoyed the delights of the sand and the water for the first time!
How fun! I agree, sand and water make an excellent combination! I got to enjoy the beach for the first time in about 10 years, when I was in Florida. That was so much fun! =D
ReplyDeleteAnd isn't it relaxing, too, Marissa? I think it was one of the best "de-stressors" (is that a word???):) of the trip!
ReplyDeleteLove you!
My kids look forward to July or August, when we make the annual trek to my dad's. Please let your mom know I'll be in town 8/20-8/24
ReplyDeleteI always stop by, but she's NEVER home. I saw your dad last year when I went by. I miss the beach being so close, although we have a lake we can go to in town, the waves and sand arent the same. A day at the beach is definately a stress reliever.
Mel
Trisha, I love the pictures

Thanks for posting all the pictures. I can sit at my computer and remember each one of them. So glad all they little ones had such a great time. We sure enjoyed having them. Now that you have gone, there's a big hole in my heart. Missing all of you.

Hi Mel!
ReplyDeleteI'll be sure to remind Mom you'll be stopping by. She's not working as much, so she'll most likely be home. Hope to talk with you soon.
Love you!
