All the woulda-coulda-shouldas
Layin' in the sun,
Talkin' 'bout the things
They woulda-coulda-shoulda done...
But all those woulda-coulda-shouldas
All ran away and hid
From one little did.

So profound. I need to keep taking that to heart! I met Shel Silverstein when I was in elementary school. He came to our school and spoke and then we got to meet him individually in our library. I remember him sitting at one of the low tables in the little kid chair right next to me, this larger than life man.
ReplyDeleteStephani,
ReplyDeleteI need to keep taking it to heart, too! How neat that you met him and remember it so vividly.
