MIchele Update #1

Your kindness in praying for Michele is such a blessing. I'll be posting updates as often as I have new information.

I talked with Michele for quite a bit yesterday, and she sounds really good. She had a strong sense of peace when she checked into the hospital (YAY!!), and her first chemotherapy treatment went smoothly.

She and David spent time recounting God's many blessings and miracles throughout this trial. Is not this the work of grace in the heart that my dear cousin, after all she's been through, can sing the praises of the LORD? It's a most beautiful conversation to have with someone!

Michele has never had this specific type of chemotherapy before. Please pray specifically that God would hold back these two common complications:

~severe mouth sores
~burning sensation in hands and feet that actually results in the peeling of the skin

Her children and sister and mom will be joining her in a couple of days! How wonderful that she'll have the support of their presence.

The stem cell is scheduled for Friday. Please pray that it would be God's instrument in putting Michele back into remission.

May God richly bless you for the gift of your prayers!

"Each time, before you intercede, be quiet first, and worship God in His glory. Think of what He can do, and how He delights to heart the prayers of His redeemed people. Think of your place and privilege in Christ, and expect great things!"
~Andrew Murray

  2. Praying and thanking God for
His peace being showered on your
    dear cousin.
"As her days so shall her strength
    be..."
And yes, praying those side effects
will be completely held back and this will be a full remission
in the mighty name of Jesus!
