Whenever we travel back to Virginia, the children are amazed at the number of trees and the green, green grass. We arrived at Ben's parents' home early on a Monday morning, and the children soon abandoned their shoes to feel the grass beneath their feet, running everywhere without fear of stickers or rocks (but steering clear of the poison ivy!). This simple activity captured their attention that entire first day.

Glad you are back at the computer but I know you were enjoying family time in Roanoke and Virginia. Isn't it amazing how most of us take "grass" for granted but your children found it
ReplyDeleteamazing and enjoyable just to walk, run and play in the beautiful green stuff. And when I look at grass I think "oh, no...it's time to mow the grass again" (lol). Maybe I need to take time to walk barefooted in the green grass that I take so much for granted. Love you all!!
There is almost nothing better than green grass or wet sand under bare feet! The pictures are lovely! That's the kind of back yard I want. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the pictures. The grass is so pretty and green. It's definitely not our yard!!!!! I'm glad Emma and Ella were enjoying the grass. Look forward to more posts, of course. Thanks for taking the time to share the pictures with us. Love you.
