Dear Poffs, I'm so sorry that Jessie is gone. I know that the loss of a pet is really very hard. She was a sweet dog and I'm certain you have many fond memories of her.

Dear Friends,
ReplyDeleteWe are so very sorry for you all. We had been praying you would be able to find her and when we just saw this, it broke our hearts. Charlotte, my extra sensitive one is crying for you, and asked "Mom, what if they find her?" Is that possible? We love you and will be praying for you!
Love, Nicole, Charlotte, and Emma

I'm not sure what to say...but I am very sad for you and sorry. A pet is a part of the family and I know your hearts are very sad. I'm glad you have good memories that will last forever.
ReplyDeleteMichele
Thank you so much for all these kind and compassionate comments! We are very encouraged by them.
ReplyDeleteMel, I'm so sorry about your cat! That must have been devastating. I hope you'll find some comfort in what must be an amazing amount of memories. 19 years! That is amazing in itself. Love you! And I'm still waiting for your e-mail. :)
I was so praying Jessie would come
ReplyDeletehome. I know it is heart breaking to each one of you. A pet becomes part of your family, and I know you feel her loss. I remember the children feeding her and giving her water every day. I'm sure they miss that. We shed a lot of tears when SASSY died, so I understand your heart ache.
HUGS,
MEMAW
I am so sorry about your pet... I was hoping you would find Jessie and she would be ok..... Love to all... Granma
ReplyDeleteTrisha, I have a wonderful poem that has really helped when i've lost a pet. I know most folks don't believe our pets will be in Heaven. I've found a couple of references in the Bible that suggests they might be there. I choose to believe they will. Here's the poem I love:
ReplyDeleteMY GIFT TO JESUS
I wish someone had given little Jesus a dog
as loyal and loving as mine
to sleep by His manger and gaze in His eyes
and adore Him for being divine.
As our Lord grew to manhood, His own faithful dog
would have followed Him all through the day
while he preached to the crowds and made the sick well
and knelt in the Garden to pray.
It is sad to remember that Christ went away
to face death alone and apart,
with no tender dog following close behind
to comfort its Master's heart.
And when Jesus rose on that Easter morn,
how happy He would have been
as His dog kissed His hand and barked its delight
for the One who died for all men!
Well, the Lord has a dog now; I just sent Him mine,
the old pal so dear to me,
And I smile through my tears on this first day alone,
knowing they're in eternity.
