She Did It!

Whistler just completed her first crocheting project, a baby blanket to give to Peep for Christmas.

Our dear friend and neighbor, Mrs. F., has been coming over weekly to give lessons, and we're very proud of Whistler's perserverance and hard work.  Great job, sweet daughter!

  1. Congratulations, Whistler! You did a great job. You'll have to teach us that pattern. Sadly though, now that the pictures have been posted, the surprise is out and Peep will know what she is getting for Christmas. :-)
I know she will love it and I will love wrapping her up in it while she sleeps on a Sunday morning soon. Good job my sweet young friend! - Love Mrs. Spencer who can't remember her password to sign in to google. :-)

  4. Emma, I am amazed!! Your blanket is absolutely beautiful, and that is NOT an easy pattern for a beginner. I did not learn to crochet until I was grown. Years ago, I crocheted all my Christmas gifts one year; (whew) that was an undertaking I'll never repeat.

    Love,
    Patty

  6. Emma, congratulations on finishing the blanket for Claire. It is just beautiful. I'm so proud of you for
continuing to crochet until it was
done. I know that takes a long time. You will have to show me how
to do that stitch. Love you,

  7. Emma, we are very proud of you, and we think it looks just wonderful. Peep will love it. We have a feeling, though, that you may need to consider buying yarn in bulk as we are willing to bet you're hooked on crocheting now. Of course, you realize you now have to decide who to make for next.....hmmm....how about me!! haha We love you!!
