Alas, not all of my children love mornings like I do. Some take after their Daddy, and it's dangerous to ask important questions first thing in the morning.
As Reaches Up stumbled (that's another thing anti-morning people do) into the living room today and just sat on the couch staring into space, I asked, "What are you thinking?"
And he gave the classic "I-don't-do-mornings" answer.
"I don't rightly know."
Of course, as I've gotten older, I find myself not knowing what I'm thinking several times throughout the day. But, I know what I was thinking when he gave that answer.
"Oh, how my children make me laugh! Handsome and funny, too!"
May you rightly know just what you're thinking all day long.

I love mornings too but I find the more children I have and the less sleep I get the more of a not morning person I am. I don't like it either since when I get up and get going early I feel like I accomplish so much more in a day.
ReplyDeleteHope you all are feeling better-we are still dealing with it-it has slowly moved on in our house and our 12 year old has suffered with a cold that now went to her ear which ruptured last night-off to the Dr today. She has a really bad headache too-I am sure from not sleeping all night do to the pain in her ear.
Analeigh is feeling better though and the boys just seem to be stuffy.
If you think of it tomorrow we go to Children's for Brandon's check on the new cyst that has grown in his hip-I am praying for healing-mostly that it just hasn't progressed any and that there aren't any other new ones-if you think of it will you cover us in prayer tomorrow-I would greatly appreciate it, my mama's heart is heavy today-I am trying not to worry-trusting God-just a little something my head hasn't caught up with my heart about.
