The crowds cheered as Cap'n put one foot in front of the other! (Look at Ella. We had to calm her down!)
He amazed us with his strong sense of balance.
He was glad to reach "base."
He made sure he came to each one of us.
Blessing us with a hug at the finish line.
I declare there has never been another child who knew such celebration just because he moved from one end of the room to the other.
All I hear from the siblings....."Is Cap'n a toddler, yet?"
I emphatically reply.....NO!
Do not rush these things. They take time.
We'll call him a toddler in a couple of years.
(Don't you love the laundry basket in the picture? I think it gives off a strong "normal family" vibe.)

Great pics! Great day. We couldn't wait for our first to walk, then when she did, kinda wished she didn't.
ReplyDeleteThat is such a "normal" around here I didn't even see it-lol! (the laundry) :) I remember rushing that with my first because it seemed like it would be forever till she walked and then with each one after I held on to it longer and longer, wishing it would be awhile, especially Analeigh since she is our last, it made me sad, she seemed so grown up then. Your photos were so precious, just beautiful kids, so sweet.
ReplyDeleteHope you all have a great Labor Day.
Hugs Love you
Jill

ReplyDeleteHooray for Cap'n! I'm not sure which I enjoyed the most...his taking the first steps or how excited his siblings were as they cheered him on!

Love you all and I hope we can get together soon!! :) ;)
Isn't it fun....I so remember Benjamin walking...at 10 months, and I told him to go back to crawling, I wasn't ready for him to walk! Of course with all his siblings applauding how could he return to crawling...he didn't
ReplyDeleteEnjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!
