Monday Facts~Confessions

It's a fact that I'll never look this pretty with butter on my face:

It's a fact that I love to be up before everyone else in the morning, soaking in the Word and catching the glorious sunrise. It's a fact that this time alone refuels me.

It's a fact that I prefer French milled bar soap over liquid. If you have to wash your hands a million times a day, it should be an experience to remember. :)

It's a fact that I have my own candy stash in my room in a pink container. It's a fact I can be rather selfish about my chocolate.

It's a fact I don't long for heaven enough.

It's a fact I don't freak out over children on the window sill.

It's a fact that I'm, ahem, maybe, possibly, could be, a pen-aholic. Yes, the pens just call to me whenever I'm near the stationery aisle. It's a fact I LOVE to write with a fountain pen.

It's a fact I'm a Napper, and so are my children sometimes.

It's a fact I consider only three sticks of butter left and NONE in the freezer to be a state of emergency. Truly. Three sticks? We use that in an hour.

It's a fact that I've posted so many pictures on this blog that I now have to pay for the privilege.

Ok, those are enough facts to remind you that I'm completely normal....or maybe not. :)

Oh, one more. It's a fact that I'm quite frustrated I can't upload my signature to my posts these days.

Love,
Trisha
(that looks so boring!)

  1. What a great post! I love the morning also. I get up between 4:30 and 5:00 each morning to watch the quiet, listen to the quiet, and to fellowship in the Word with the Lord.

Precious pics! Those pens! Yikes, there is something revealing somewhere in all those bags of pens.

Your post was truly uplifting and inspiring.

  3. I LOVE LOVE this post, Trisha!! :) What a neat idea!

Funny this is...I need and LOVE my morning time in the Word, prayer, coffee, books...just such a nice time to breath and be fueled by the Lord for the day!

I am a CRAZED pen-aholic also...but a bit more of a snob with my pens...I LOVE the liquid-y felt type tip ones. I guard the two I have right now with my life. LOL!

Must. Start. Chocolate. Bin. In. Room. ASAP. ;)

Those are some cute kids...butter covered, window-sill hoppin', and nappin'!

Butter is a food group here. ;)

  4. LOVED your facts post today, Trisha! ☺ We are so kindred. I have a candy stash, though not in so nifty a tote as yours. It's an ongoing game with my kids to see if they'll find all my Skittles. LOL

Umm...DH made a 'butter-run' this weekend. Truly. We buy it from a local dairy farm...at least 4 or 5lbs at a time. Panic always sets in when I see only a pound left.

Your photos of your children and thoughts on heaven were wonderful. Thanks for joining in today! Happy Monday! ☺

  6. What a nice post, dear daughter.
Never heard of "French Milled Bar
Soap". Don't know where to buy that. Love Jedediah in the window and the two sleeping. The pictures
are beautiful. Should we be called
    pen (HOARDERS)??? I surely have
my share. Love you and praying for
    you, dear daughter.

  7. Gregg,
You're right. The message beneath those piles of pens is, "This woman lacks self-control. Somebody help her!!" :)

    JoJo,
I'm glad this crazy post benefitted you in some way. Praying you'll have a blessed week, too.

    Amy,
Ha, ha! I knew we were very much alike. Now you've just encouraged my addiction, and I must fight the temptation to look for those liquid-y felt type pens. Oh my!

    Pam,
Yes, I'm your sister in Christ, and I'll be glad to be your fill-in biological sister, too. :) We'd get along marvelously. Love to you!

    Larri,
Oh, the butter! How blessed you are to buy it that way. I'd panic too if there was just a pound left. Truly, I can't believe how much better we go through. Thanks for hosting the Facts post!

    Persis,
I'm always happy to lend a good friend a pen. :)

    Mom,
Thank you..yes, you're the reason I collect (that's so much nicer than HOARD!) pens. I love you, and I thank you for your prayers. Praying for you, too!!

  8. I think I might be a penaholic too! One can never have too many, and when Target has those cute pink ones on sale - who can resist?!

  10. Bet I have more pens than you! I thought I was the only person in the world you enjoyed pens so much. It's kind of a crazy thing, isn't it?!
I also love being the first one up in my home, quiet time for prayer and reflection, hemming in that day before it gets a chance to unravel.
    Love, love, love the photos!
    A nap?? I'd love one--rarely happens though.
    Love~

  11. Are there reform groups for pen people like us? Years ago, I used to work in a clinic, and the pharmaceutical reps would bring tons of pens and notepads. I had to test each pen by scribbling on the pads, to see if it was worthy of adoption. My boss thought I was nuts! When I found one (or two) that flowed right, I would hide it away so nobody else could use it. I'm still obsessive about my pens--but really glad to know I'm not the only one. Your darling daughter with butter on her face ought to be entered into a photo contest. Gorgeous pic! Have a great week, Trisha.

  12. Great post! I'm learning that a lot of us mamas have secret stashes of sweets--usually chocolate. Glad I'm not the only one....

  13. I now have a serious case of Pen Envy!!! I think I'm more excited about your stash of pens than the chocolate. Something may be wrong with me! :)

  14. Sweet friend such a fun post. I thought I was crazy about pens-:) The funny thing is though I seem to collect a ton in my purse, so I clean them out and then I have none when I need them. I have some highlighters that are like a gel material that I use on my bible study books and bible since they don't bleed through and I love them.
Thanks for sharing this-I feel like I know you even better now. I love chocolate and PB Cups are one of my ultimate favorite things.
I have never looked that cute with butter on my face either. All of my kids love butter-when we would go out to eat and they were little they would always want to eat the butter straight out of those little tubs they bring you-gross I know but it kept them happy. :)
Love you and still praying with each new day your spirit is filled with joy.
    Hugs
    Jill

  15. I love that your have a stash of chocolate and that you are a penaholic. I love the mornings myself, when all is quiet and the sun is just coming up. Perfect time to fellowship with the Lord

  16. Should we start a pen-anonymous group? If so can we bring our stash of chocolates? Let's do it! "Hi, my name is Petra and I'm a pen-a-chocolaholic." Wait, why do addicts always introduce themselves at an anonymous meeting?

    It's a fact that I've totally forgot about Monday's facts! But, I didn't forget about you!! :-)

Oh, yea, before I forget, I love your facts! and you!

  17. I love all your pictures! Also, we consider three sticks of butter an emergency too! :)

  18. You crack me up about the pens! Pens and books - little mama can never have too many of those. And it's a fact that you told us about your fondness of butter when you were a child and how Clairesy looks just like you. And I happen to be of the opinion that Clairsey's mama is pretty cute. I enjoy these, friend! You make me smile.

    Blessings!

  20. Now I know "for sure" why I like you so much, ready?
Is the love for good, fine, creamy, delicious, scrumptious soaps!

    Love you!

  21. Forgot to mention... I also love pens! (just saying)
