Those Vinca flowers don't look so good now that Jack Frost caught up with 'em... time to plant some Mums!
Good ol' Yeller seems to enjoy the nippy weather (oops..I mean good ol' Blackie).
Seems my Black Locust tree forgot to put on a winter coat... bbrrrrrrr!
Hi, folks! You've probably already guessed what this post is about (the title was a dead give-away for sure, I suppose). Yessiree, it seems that it pleased the LORD to send the East Mountains some snow! :)
Now I don't know about you, but I really like snowy, cold days like this! Yes, there's nothing like waking up in the morning to see a blanket of "white stuff" covering the ground, and your windows all frosty! Then you get up, pull on a sweatshirt or two (or three... or four...), mosy out into the kitchen, and fix a cup of hot chocolate (bbbbrrrrrr... crank up the thermostat will ya'?).
Right up above I have some pictures of the first snow of this new season; and I hope it will snow a whole lot this fall/winter! We pray everybody enjoys this wonderful season (and if I were you, I wouldn't stick my tongue on any frozen telephone poles either, dare or no dare!).

Hey Scribe, nice post. We actually didn't get any snow and, though it may sound strange coming from me (as I love snow as much as you do), I am kind of glad that it didn't. For starters, I still have a bunch of raspberries yet to ripen on my canes and a freeze would put and end to that right quick. So far, we have only received rain. In addition, each member of our family submits a guess as to when the first snowfall of the year will be. My date is not until November.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder about the tongue and frozen metal pole situation... I'll try to remember those sage words next time I am faced with indecision... LOL!
