"McSabbath is here--worship services that are quick, easy, convenient, and user-friendly. No muss, no fuss. Little or no sacrifice required. Consumers can be in and out in under an hour. McSermons may not be as nutritional as the real thing, but, like Big Macs, they have a predictable quality that fills a void at least for a while. The question is, however, do they fulfill the purpose of worship, which is to please God?"

So sad and SO true!! :(
ReplyDeleteWe did not like how at our other church, they made the sermon more of a fun joke sort of thing. So he would mention some verses and then would tell little jokes that somehow tied everything together.
It was so sad. Isaiah 53:6 "All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way; and we have laid on Him the iniquity of us all."
Love ya! Great post!

We had a pastor in VA BEACH with
ReplyDeletea church, had regular services, and then allowed people to come to "church", stay in their cars, and attend a "service". It didn't last too long and is no longer available for "worshipers" who had rather stay in their cars, and dressed as they pleased.!!!
LOVE,
