Then our family started to grow, and seven children moving in and out of this little room sometimes seems like a recipe for endless mess and sometimes disaster. (umm, perhaps when a child deems the towel bar as perfect pull-up equipment.:)) Thankfully, we do have another bathroom that makes Sunday mornings especially not so stressful.
But, I love how God stretches us to be content with what we have. I love this little bathroom and all the messes that often fill up it's tiny space because I love so much these seven blessings who use this room throughout the day.
And I love that God has made us to create and make our spaces beautiful and inviting. The largest of spaces can sometimes be the most empty of anything lovely or lively and the smallest can speak volumes of welcoming words. So, I'm especially thankful that Mountain Man and my older young men blessed this nesting Mama's desire to re-do this little room with their hard work and much patience. (The towel bar truly took three attempts because our walls aren't the most cooperative.)

So, the guys were ahead of me, and I didn't get pictures of the shower curtain, towel bar, etc. But, it was decorated in an outdoorsy theme and brass fixtures.
We decided to go a bit lighter on the paint with an almond color (which my sons quickly identified as having a "cottage" look) and a bit darker on the towel bar and switch covers. The big difference came from painting the doors. I also found some wonderful Scripture signs from Hobby Lobby.

Thankful for pretty, little spaces and my hardworking men,

How lovely and very sweet of your guys to do all this for you. I'm laughing because Caity and I just spent the morning taking down the old and making plans for the new as we hope to redecorate. One of our major plans is to redo our little bath (the tiny hall 1/2 bath). I'm doubtful that my guys will go for a cottage look (that I love), but hope that they will like a bit of an update to the overall look of the house.

Good job, men, on the bathroom makeover. I was so blessed to be able to see (and use) it in person. Men, you definitely brightened the entire bathroom.
