This is SO true. Now those of us who are not particularly fond of Facebook almost have to check it every now and then just to find out what's happening with some of our friends! Some things are wonderful (like the newborn pictures of my brand new nephew); others are mundane (like the granddaughter of a friend who posts updates all day long about her day (like: "fold clothes 10-11, lunch with Dad 12-1, work 2-7, then home to study). Everything's relative though. If she was my daughter, and this was her first time away from home, I would treasure the all-day updates.
Should have mentioned: TODAY, MY HUSBAND AND I HAVE BEEN MARRIED 47 YEARS!!! We were married the day after President Kennedy was assissinated! We had planned a night out tonight with dinner and a movie, but we'll postpone until Clyde's feeling better. Cousin Patty
Perhaps, but I don't think that detracts at all from what his points are. Facebook isn't the exception, for sure, when it comes to idol-making. We're good at doing that with most anything.
"Each of us, every day, is standing under a Niagara of blessings..."
~Doug Wilson
"There is enough in God to fill our treasures, to replenish every hungry soul, to supply all our wants, to answer all our desires, to make us completely happy."

Got to admit that I find it an interesting juxtaposition when there's a "Find us on Facebook" box right next to the article.
