Please pray for my cousin's spouse, David, who has been admitted to the hospital with pancreatitis and gall bladder problems. He has recently been moved to ICU, and my cousin, the one who has been bravely fighting cancer for over 5 years now, is not allowed to stay overnight with him. It's very unsettling to have to leave him, wondering if he's going to be okay through the night.
Please pray for strength and healing and for much comfort for their entire family. Pray that even when apart, each of them would know sweet sleep and that fear would not overwhelm them. Pray that my cousin would not suffer any sickness from being at the hospital and that God would preserve her health that she might be a strong source of comfort to her Beloved.
With many, many thanks,

Tricia, it's ironic but my parent's best friends went through this exact same ordeal about five years ago. They are now in their 80's. He was in the hospital in intensive care for about a week with pancreatitis and gall bladder problems, and she was still recovering from breast cancer surgery and radiation treatments. Tony finally stabilized enough so they could remove the gall bladder, and he came through it all just fine. But it was really scary for awhile. I hope it will be the same for your cousin. Will definitely include them in my prayers.

Patty,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for your prayers and your encouraging words! I found out after posting this that my cousin's husband's mother died of this very same problem, so you can imagine even more the concern. Much, much love to you and your family!
Thanks for your post, Trisha. I
ReplyDeletefinally got an update late this
afternoon after my special twin
finally answered her phone. It was
touch and go for David yesterday.
The kidney specialist came in this
morning. David is very ill and has
a long way to go. He can have nothing to eat by mouth. The best
thing we can do right now is pray
for David and Michele and the family. HUGS memaw
