Well, I'm writin' this here post at about 10:20 pm, durin' the few remainin' hours of Tuesday. We've purty much been workin' non-stop for most of the day, gettin' supplies ready for tomorrow's trek into the wilderness (well, jest 'tween you and me, the Mountain Man rendezvous be only 'bout half an hour from the interstate.) :)
Yep, tomorrow Mountain Man, Little Big Man, Reaches Up, and I will be a-goin' south to brave the unknown (then again, that might be a little bit o' exaggeratin' as our camp site is also a shootin' range for the local gun club! Ha!). The doin's will begin tommorow, but afore we start shootin', throwin' and the like, we get to do the fun stuff! Ya know, settin' up the tent, makin' sure we got everything (toothbrushes will be essential out there, ya know), and then gettin all worked up when somethin is found to be missin' from our packs... yessir, all that kinda stuff has to come first 'fore we can get to blowin' holes in targets and choppin' logs with edged weapons.
Today, though, we've been makin sure all's well in the victual boxes, lookin' over our cookin' gear to assure ourselves we got somethin' to cook our victuals on, puttin' edges on our 'hawks and knives, and so on and so forth.
And now I'll end this ramblin' talk o' mine so I can get ready for bed... wouldn't do for me to be half asleep in the mornin' and then get a talkin' to when I end up doin' somethin stupid, like throwin' my tomahawk at the the log when my brother's behind it!
After we get back from our little vacation, I'll post some updates an' pictures! :) We'll appreciate prayers for our safety and the protection of mom and the girls. And may we glorify Christ in all we think, say, and do.
