Grinding Beans and Turning Hearts

On Saturday, Daddy gave a tutorial on grinding coffee beans. One would have thought there was something "big," something amazing going on by the way Whistler, Reaches Up, and Boo crowded around Daddy, eagerly listening to his instruction. But it was simply about grinding coffee beans.As I watched Mountain Man patiently instruct our Littles, I was amazed at how focused the children were...they were delighting in having Daddy teach them, and they just wanted to be near him.

It's in these moments that the hearts of children are turned to their fathers and the hearts of the fathers to their children. Step by step...in the daily tasks we do...the little things....patiently instructing...tying heart strings and pointing our children to their Saviour.

"And He shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers..." Malachi 4:6
