Weekly Rewind

Mountain Man solved our dilemma and came up with our catchy title for posting weekly updates on our family life. At the end of each week, we'll try and post the highlights and sum up what we've been doing. Enjoy, MeMaw and Grandma!

~Boo wrote her first "H" this week! She loves to do "italic" when Reaches Up and Whistler are doing theirs.

~We enjoyed seeing our first snow.

~We made a trek to the mountains to take some family pictures. The children especially enjoyed climbing the trees. It was hard to pull them away.

~Little Bit continues to have lots of teeth coming in, making her a not-so-happy baby.

~Little Big Man made his first guitar video! (we'll try to post that later) He was slightly inspired by a video we watched on YouTube of "The Drinking Gourd."

~After still not feeling NextGirl move yet, I saw the perinatologist for an ultrasound on Thursday. Everything looks great, but I'll be returning in a month since I've had a flare-up with my Crohn's. They just want to make sure NextGirl is growing well.

~My Beloved and I enjoyed a lovely date yesterday, perusing bookstores, eating dinner, and seeing "Fireproof." The children finished up their lessons, made a few videos, watched "My Side of the Mountain," which they said is nothing like the book, and enjoyed a medieval dinner hosted by Scribe.

~ Whistler continues to plow through books, finishing two this week.

Love,
Queen Mom

  1. It's so nice to hear that you two get time together... that's a precious commodity! What did you think of the movie? We'd like to go see it... but we have to ration out our babysitting needs... I'll be thankful when Pili is old enough to be left in charge! Love to you all....
