Claire is Latin for "bright" or "illustrious." "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?" (Psalm 27:1)
Jubilee is Hebrew for "one who rejoices." "But I have trusted in Thy mercy; my heart shall rejoice in thy salvation. I will sing unto the LORD because He hath dealt bountifully with me."

Too often as time passes, the magnitude of God's mercies dims in our memories. Even now as I read back over her story I'm surprised by the details I've forgotten, a reminder of the importance of recording our Ebenezers as they happen.
When she stumbles out of her bedroom, I'll see those blue eyes and that blonde bed-head. She'll ask for tea and want me to hold her. She'll be so excited that today is her birthday, and she'll want her presents NOW.
She'll say, "I luh you so much, Mommy."
And I'll watch those fingerprints on the wall get a bit higher as I praise God for the joy and privilege of being her Mama.
