Well, these two fine lookin' guinea pigs found a way to beat the crowd, the pitfalls, and the heat (without using sunscreen). As you can see, they decided they would enjoy some time on our porch, out breathin' the fresh air on this sunny day. Why, they're even set up with a sunshade (umbrella), a picnic lunch (red cabage & grapes), and a super-sized beverage (waterbottle). =)
Just so you know, in case I post about them some other time, the two guinea pigs are called Beric (gold & white), and Beethoven (silky brown). Beric was named after the hero of one of my favorite historical fiction novels, called Beric the Briton by G. A. Henty. You might have already guessed why we named the other one Beethoven. But just in case you haven't, I'll explain. It is said that the great composer Beethoven had problems keeping his hair in good order. In the picture above, you will take note that our friend the guinea pig has the same problem (those pesky ol' cowlicks) ! ;)

Your guinea pigs are so cute. I bet they enjoyed their day sunbathing. You all have done a great job with this site. I will definitely have to come back everyday to check it out.
ReplyDeleteI love you all and hope you have a fun filled school day. It's late so I guess I'll go to bed. I'll check in with you tomorrow.

What fun. Poor Beethoven and his cowlicks..looks like quite a challenge to keep his hair looking decent. ;) Glad they enjoy the day out! I know I sure would!
