Dear Grandma and MeMaw,
I overheard Mommy say that if you don't start reading and commenting on the blog, it might self-destruct.
She puts a lot of time into making sure you see awesome pictures of us. She invests blood, sweat, and tears in perfecting her prose. (um...I'm just trying to help her out a bit here.)
I remember when my binky first got lost. I didn't know what a good thing I had until I didn't have it anymore (even though it was just missing for 5 minutes). But, sometimes we don't notice things until they're not there anymore.
I'm just warning ya. Even at my young age, I've learned that pregnancy makes a Mama a bit unpredictable. We're trying to keep her fed with chocolate, but sometimes that's not enough.
You might want to encourage her a bit by leaving comments about how cute you think we are. I just know that will keep her pounding away at the keyboard and spending so much time posting pictures.
Love,
One of your cutest grandchildren ever
P.S. I'll gladly take a big lollipop for giving you heads up. Those travel well in the mail. Oh and maybe Barbecue Fritos. Remember, we can't buy those here in the desert.

This brought such a smile to my day and I hope the people it is directed to read it! lol
ReplyDeleteI also love bbq fritos!
We all think your children are cute, though I suspect that the boys from L on up probably would prefer not to be thought of, or particularly mentioned, in those terms.
ReplyDeleteCap'n of course, will accept and embrace "cute" as long as it gets him cookies and gives him a way out of 'tight places.'
ReplyDeleteHa ha ha!
ReplyDeleteOops, no comments from the grandies yet...
ReplyDeleteI love all the things on the blog... notes and pictures!!!!!I might have to go shopping for some lollie pops and bbq fritos!!!!!!you are 8 of the "cutiest" grandchildren anybody could have... I love that whole household in N. M. Granma
ReplyDeleteNot desperate or anything, are we??? LOL! I'm sure your Grandmas *get* your Mama's humour just like your Mama's Canadian friend does! Big Hugs to Mommy!!

Cap'n got on mama's big computer again? What, no lollipops in the desert? That lil guy knows how to squeeze a heart. :-)
ReplyDeleteYep. I had to send an e-mail to make sure the Grandmas saw this post. :) At least one replied. Thank you, Granma!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Cap'n, for the "heads up". I need to buy some Barbeque
ReplyDeleteFritos, and, of course a BIG
Lollipop for you. I already have a
package in my trunk to mail to the
Poffs. Sorry, but it doesn't contain the Fritos. Keep looking for the mail. Sending hugs to all my grandchildren in NM.
LOVE,
memaw
Some explanations on the methods I use in order to get regular blog comments from grandparents.
ReplyDelete1. Live far away from them.
2. Have cute grandchildren.
3. Take many pictures of the aforesaid grandchildren.
4. Post large amounts of the (previously mentioned) pictures.
5. Sprinkle in interesting details about these grandchildren. Ex. Cute things they say and do
6. Email and phone grandparents only on rare and desperate occasions. (Or better yet, once a year as a birthday treat.)
7. Refrain from posting for two weeks or more, followed by a long and detailed grandchildren post especially catered to far away grandparents.
(Good luck! ;)
Still trying to get fritos mailed,
ReplyDeleteand I know someone will enjoy that
lollipop. Love each one of you
and thanking God for you each day.
hugs and kisses,
MEMAW
